★ Poem and Painting on "Tribute to Mothers" -- MINGHUI

-- Why I painted the background in this way because the mountain represents the quote "your love is like an island", the ocean represents the quote "in life's ocean, vast and wide". From the painting at the extreme right side, there's a few circles. The top circle consists of a compass, with the North by Hope, South by Tender Counsel, West by Patience and East by Rest. The second circle consist of a colour blended sun shine, trying to tell that she shines Faith, Truth and Prayer, and brought sense to my life. Lastly, there is a lady standing in the middle of the painting, which is the mother, with a sweet smile that brighten any moment of one. Tribute to Mothers ♥
My mother, my friend so dear
throughout my life you're always near.
A tender smile to guide my way
you're the sunshine to light my day.
Your love is like an island
In life's ocean, vast and wide
A peaceful, quiet shelter
From the wind, the rain and tide
This bound on the North by Hope
By Patience on the West
By Tender Counsel on the South
And on the East by Rest
Above it like a beacon light
Shine Faith, and Truth, and Prayer,
And through the changing scenes of life
I find a heaven there.
Your smiles can brighten any moment,
your hugs put joy in all our days,
your love will stay with me forever
and touch my live in precious ways...
The values you've taught,
the care you've given,
and the wonderful love you've shown,
have enriched my life
in more ways that I can count.
